As a singer….

Jennie has earned praise for her expressive musicality and exciting high notes. She has performed in operas, musicals, and concerts across the United States and in Europe. She has received awards from the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, the James Toland Vocal Arts, and the Opera Buffs of Los Angeles.

Jennie most recently sang the role of Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen with the Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra. Some of Jennie’s other operatic roles include Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Corinna (Il viaggio a Reims), Tatyana (Eugene Onegin), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) Micaela (The Tragedy of Carmen), Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon), Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow), Clorinda (La Cenerentola), the Mother (Amahl and the Night Visitors) and Erste Dame (Die Zauberflöte). In the fall of 2021, she joined the Los Angeles Opera to workshop Carla Lucero’s Las tres mujeres de Jerusalén, which premiered the following spring at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

Outside of the classical realm, Jennie enjoys singing in a variety of different styles including, both for work and leisure. With roots in the musical theatre, Ms. Olivia has performed the roles of Cinderella’s Stepmother (Into the Woods), Rose (The Secret Garden), Mrs. Merkle(Bye, Bye Birdie!) and the Milkmaid (Oliver!) Jennie has also done studio work and background vocals for indie rock albums and pop artists.

She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Vocal Performance from Pepperdine University and her Master’s of Music from UCLA. Jennie is a graduate of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA).
